Love vs Design Samples

The samples are here! I order these free samples from Love vs. Design last week because of their promotion and am so glad that I did! Their whole mailing campaign is absolutely gorgeous. From the mailing label to the sample itself...everything is so well packaged. You can see the care they put in these paper goods. Very well marketing; I love the Color Chart and Accessories card particularly.

What do you like to do in summer? Perhaps day-dreaming under the sun, imagine yourself flying away in a bunny hot air balloon with the summer breeze...

I always want to make amigurumi balloon and finally, Here. It. Is!! Bunny Balloon is not just a cute decoration. You can put your earrings or rings to the basket as it is an accessory holder, or put a little sign with a message such as "I Love You" or "Thank You" or, like what I did above, drew a pair of birdies with hearts and made it into a love basket!

The photographs did not show them all but there is a lot of details that I spent lot of time on. This bunny balloon will fly up high in the sky with proud! And I hope you like it as much as I do^^

終於...終於完成了 (感動落淚)!! 一直想嘗試鈎熱氣球, 加上白兔精神，最後設計了一個可以放小手飾，或傳達口信的兔兔熱氣球。希望在炎炎夏日裏，讓牠載着你的白日夢，隨涼風飛上天吧！

Happy Birthday My Friend

Today is my sis Xian's birthday! Although we are not biologically related, we have been through a lot together. We are not that type of friends who would chat everyday, but we know we are always there for each other. Our styles/personalities are different, but we understand each other well. We don't have unlimited topics to talk about, but the silent is comfortable as if we are family. Although we live in different places and I can't be with Xian in person for her big day, I drew her a drawing and hope she will like it. Very simple, nothing fancy. Just like our friendship; pure, simple, and long lasting.

頭100名入場的巿民可獲大會安排的禮物袋。每個袋都有不同的小禮物，而每份禮物都是由現場過百個參與單位所提供。貪小便宜的我（笑）一早就來排隊，等了2小時以上，最終也拿到號碼...天呀! 我已經算是早的一批，居然連前50名都沒有?! 實在好奇排第一的那位朋友是幾點開始等的。不過拿到禮物袋實在高興，看到裡面的東東更是淚留滿面！感激各單位都大方地分享他們的產品。雖然聽聞並不是每個袋都令人滿意，但其實有禮物已經是賺了。下年有機會再排過！哈哈...

Seattle's Urban Craft Uprising took place over the past weekend. It was my first time to go to a craft show and was so glad that I did. There were over 140 vendors in the event showing off their products. Personally I love to pay extra attention to "presentation"; from the way artists set up their area to the little price tag on their products. What I also liked about this event is that you got surrounded with creative people. Most of them who went to the show are either a crafter themselves or have an interest in crafting. And luckily, I met a new friend there - Genevieve Santos - a talented lady who has an inspiring attitude. I will open a new post to talk about her and her works.

週末去了西雅圖的手工展覽 “Urban Craft Uprising”。 第一次去大型的手工展覽，大開眼界，獲益良多。除了欣賞各種手工制品，最讓我驚喜的是他們的攤位設計。而且在場大部份也是DIY人，是認識志同道合朋友的好機會。而我亦很幸運地認識了Genevieve Santos， 一個讓人快樂的畫家。
